Dae Kern Kang joined Kim & Chang in 2001 and is a technical advisor in the firm's Mechanical Practice.

He received his B.A. in Metallurgical Engineering (1980) from Korea University, Dipl.-Ing. Metal Forming (1987) from RWTH Aachen, and Dr.-Ing Metal Forming (1994) from the University of Stuttgart. Before joining the firm he was at Tallis Tech in 1997, the Korea Institute of Industrial Technology in 1995, the Institute für Umformtechnik Univ. Stuttgart in 1988, the Institut für Eisenhuttenkunde RWTH Aachen in 1987, and Korea Integrated Special Steel in 1980. Mr. Kang's area of practice includes consultations relating to mechanical arts and development of German speaking clients. His technical background is in production technology and facilities, FEM simulation, and robotics.
