Jae Dong Sung joined Kim & Chang in 2000 and is a patent attorney in the firm's Mechanical Practice Group.
He received his B.E. and M.E. in Mechanical Engineering (1973, 1981) from Kyunghee University and was admitted as a Korean patent and trademark attorney in 1999. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Sung's experience includes:
- Presiding Judge, Industrial Property Tribunal (1998-2000)
- Director, Industrial machinery Division, Ministry of Trade, Industry and Resource (1996-1997)
- Commercial Attache, Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Japan (1992-1995)

His current practice focuses on a wide range of intellectual property matters, including patent prosecution and litigation. He is a member of the Korean Patent Attorneys Associations and Asian Patent Attorneys Association.
