On October 28, 2020, Kim & Chang's Intellectual Property Practice hosted a webinar on "Korean Design Law and Practice," focusing on particularities in prosecution and enforcement.
 
Jong-Dug Choi (German and European Patent Attorney) moderated the session, and Robin Gill-Sang Lee (Korean Patent Attorney), Seung-Hee Lee (Korean Patent Attorney), and Martin Kagerbauer (German Lawyer) presented on the latest developments and unique aspects compared to other jurisdictions, and shared practical considerations on how to make the best use of the particular features of the Korean design system along with notable case studies.
 
The webinar was well-received by participants doing business in Korea and interested in IP law as a great opportunity to enhance their understanding on design protection in Korea. More of such webinars on other key issues will follow to bring together IP colleagues and provide a platform for discussions and networking.
