On September 20, 2022, Flora Qiqiao Zhang (Chinese Attorney at Law & Patent Attorney) and Sun Young Park (Korean Trademark/Design Attorney), members of Kim & Chang's Intellectual Property Practice, were invited to speak as lecturers online for the Korean session at a seminar on "Design Systems in Korea, Japan and Europe," which was held both online and offline. The seminar was co-hosted by Changsha Zonekey Patent Law Firm and Hunan Patent Attorney Association.
 
Under the topic of "Korea's Partial Design System and Practice under the Hague System," Ms. Zhang and Ms. Park introduced unique aspects of the Korean design system, latest law amendments and trends, and practical tips and strategies for Hague design applications along with recent cases in a discussion format. Their lecture, which was then followed by a Q&A session, attracted great attention and received positive feedback.
 
Organized to share information on international design systems in light of China's joining the Hague System in May of this year, the seminar was well-received by design practitioners from various companies and firms in Hunan as a great opportunity to enhance their understanding on key design systems and practical issues in other countries.
