Overview

Yoon Ki Kim is a patent attorney in the firm's Integrated Technology Practice. Before joining the firm he worked for Samsung Heavy Industries Co., Ltd., designing heavy machineries.

His current practice focuses on a wide range of intellectual property matters - patent prosecution, licensing, patent trial and litigation, and Korea Trade Commission actions. In particular, Mr. Kim has successfully handled many patent infringement actions and parallel patent invalidation actions involving mechanical equipment, machine tools, medical devices, home appliances, consumer products, automobile parts, and various mechanical materials and structures. In the firm, Mr. Kim also serves as the senior patent attorney of an IP medical device team to counsel, manage and promote the interests of clients requiring representation in medical device art. Mr. Kim also serves as a technical advisor in product liability, recall, export control and legal matters involving technology. Mr. Kim is also a member of the Asian Patent Attorneys Association and the AIPPI.
