Mr. Sang Young Lee joined Kim & Chang in 2001 and is a patent attorney in the firm's Chemical/Pharma Practice Group.

Mr. Lee received his BS in Food Science and Technology (1993) from Seoul National University and an LLM (2005) from the University of Washington School of Law.  He was admitted to the Korean Patent Bar in 1998. Before joining the firm, Mr. Lee prosecuted and litigated matters relating to chemical and pharmaceutical inventions for the First Law Offices of Korea from 1998 to 2001.  His practice now specializes in chemistry-related fields, including pharmacy, biotechnology, biochemistry, pharmacology, and environmental engineering.  He is a member of the Intellectual Property Forum and Korea Patent Attorneys Association.
