Kyu Wan Choi joined Kim & Chang in 2005, and is a patent attorney in the firm's Mechanical Practice.

He received his B.S. in Aerospace Engineering (2004) from Seoul National University, an LL.B. (2008) and an B.B.A. (2018) from Korea National Open University, and an LL.M. (2012) from Northwestern University School of Law. He was admitted to the Korean Patent Bar in 2004. He completed a series of executive education programs in Kellogg School of Management and Harvard Law School (2012). Prior to joining the firm, he worked at Koreana Patent Firm from 2004 to 2005.

Mr. Choi's practice focuses on a wide range of intellectual property matters, including patent prosecution, litigation, opinion work, and enforcement and dispute resolution. Mr. Choi has been involved in patent litigation proceedings before district courts, appellate courts, and the Supreme Court of Korea. He is a member of the Korean Patent Attorneys Association.
