Yongrok Choi is a patent attorney in the firm's Electrical/Software Practice.  

Mr. Choi's practice covers a variety of intellectual property matters, including patent prosecution, prior art search, invalidation actions before the Korean Intellectual Property Office and the Patent Court, patent enforcement and litigation as well as client counseling on the Korean IP system and patent filing strategies.  Most notably, he represented international clients in a number of multi-national patent litigations involving semiconductors and smartphones.  Mr. Choi has expertise in a wide range of technical fields including software, wireless communications, displays, semiconductors, and internet technology.

Prior to joining the firm, he worked as a patent attorney at Y.P. Lee, Mock & Partners. He also worked as a computer engineer and a patent attorney at Xeline Co., Ltd., where he developed dozens of communication applications and managed the international power-line communication standard.

Mr. Choi received his B.S., with distinction, in electrical and computer engineering (2007) from Seoul National University and an LL.M. (2017) from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law. He was admitted to the Korean Patent Bar and the State Bar of California.
