Overview

Angela Kim is a foreign senior attorney in the firm's Intellectual Property Group practice group. Her practice covers dispute resolution involving unfair competition, trademarks, copyrights and designs, and the negotiation, drafting and review of IP related transactions. She also helps clients devise and carry out trademark enforcement and anti-counterfeiting strategies. Ms. Kim first started working in the trademark and copyright fields as an articling student at an IP boutique in Toronto, before moving to New York City where she obtained extensive experience in global brand protection at a firm recognized worldwide for its international trademark practice. Prior to her move to Seoul, she worked in Shanghai for several years focusing exclusively on anti-counterfeiting, trademark policing and enforcement of well-known brands.

Ms. Kim has has worked with clients in a broad range of industries including entertainment, technology, pharmaceuticals, consumer and luxury goods. Ms. Kim's experience includes brand development and protection strategy, drafting and negotiating IP agreements, management of multi country enforcement actions and anti-counterfeiting programs, complex filing programs, IP due diligence and worldwide trademark clearance for brand expansions. 

Ms. Kim was admitted to the New York bar in 1995 and called to the bar in Ontario, Canada in 1996.
