Overview

Sooho Lee is a foreign attorney in the firm's Intellectual Property Practice who is a member of the California and Illinois bars and registered to practice before the US Patent and Trademark Office.  

Mr. Lee's practice focuses on all aspects of intellectual property enforcement, including patent litigation, prosecution, and counseling in a variety of technology areas including automobiles, wireless technology, aerospace, medical devices, and document security technology.  Mr. Lee was involved in all phases of IP litigation before US District Courts and the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit as well as handling all aspects of patent and trademark prosecution.  Mr. Lee also advised clients on licensing and other transactional matters concerning intellectual property rights.

In addition to intellectual property matters, Mr. Lee manages regulatory compliance and other investigations on behalf of global automotive and aerospace clients, US litigation matters involving business torts and other financial issues, and arbitration matters before international arbitral bodies. 

Mr. Lee is also committed to actively pursuing pro bono services and projects.  He taught English to students at the Seoul National School for the Blind, and in the past, successfully represented a client in an asylum matter before the US Immigration Court where the client was granted US permanent residency.

Prior to attending law school, Mr. Lee worked as a thermal management engineer at Samsung Electronics, designing thermal management systems in computers and servers.  Mr. Lee also enjoyed an international childhood, growing up in numerous European nations, including Germany, England, and Switzerland before returning to the United States for his adult years.
