Mr. Kim is a foreign attorney at Kim & Chang who is a member of the California State Bar and registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. 

Mr. Kim has been a member of the California State Bar since 2000 and has extensive experience in litigating and counseling in the areas of intellectual property and international trade.   Mr. Kim has extensive experience in all aspects of procuring and protecting intellectual property rights, including patents, trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets.  In particular, Mr. Kim has worked on patents in a wide variety of technical areas, including semiconductor devices and equipment, telecommunication devices, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, chemicals, and consumer goods.  He has also advised clients on a wide range of international trade compliance issues, including customs audits, valuation, classification, export controls, and origin verification.

Prior to joining Kim & Chang, Mr. Kim practiced for several years in all aspects of patent and trademark counseling, prosecution, and litigation at a respected IP boutique firm, Lyon & Lyon (2000-2002) and then at the international law firm of Jones Day (2002-2008).
