Before joining Kim & Chang, Ms. Sohn was an in-house counsel for a tech startup in the area of Confidential Computing and blockchain systems. She has advised investor relations, M&A exit strategies, B2B sales contracts, and cooperative R&D agreement with industry partners. She also advised on establishing the company’s U.S. branch office, and preparing partnerships with local accelerators.

Representing major U.S. banks and global construction companies, Ms. Sohn has worked on discovery preparations for patent infringement suits, multi-million dollar securities litigation, and class-action lawsuits related to asbestos and other hazardous material. She also conducted compliance reviews of bank policies and broker/dealer practices in the insurance divisions, and assisted in responding to Department of Justice antitrust reviews.

At a Silicon Valley law firm, Ms. Sohn also worked on IP transactional matters, including M&A due diligence reviews, trademark protection for startups and global tech companies, and prosecution of trademark registrations with the USPTO.
