Prior to joining Kim & Chang, he served as the IP dispute lead in the IP Group at Samsung Electro-Mechanics for 20 years. He also held the position of IP Team Leader at Seoul Semiconductor for 2 years. Mr. Kwon possesses extensive experience in various IP matters, including foreign and domestic patent litigation, licensing, joint development agreements, and patent portfolio management. He has participated in approximately 100 patent disputes, negotiations, and licensing agreements. Mr. Kwon earned his B.S. in IT Engineering from Kyungbook National University in 1994 and his LL.M. from Indiana University, School of Law in 2014. He was admitted to the Bar in Washington D.C. in 2014.
