Sue Su-Yeon Chun is a patent attorney in the Trademark and Design Practice Group at Kim & Chang. Her practice focuses on prosecution, enforcement, and litigation involving trademarks, unfair competition and designs. Since joining the firm in 2008, She has handled an extensive range of domestic and international IP matters for clients across diverse sectors, including entertainment, media, e-commerce, technology, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, fashion, hospitality, and consumer goods. 

Ms. Chun has successfully represented clients in numerous notable administrative trials and litigations before the Ministry of Intellectual Property and the courts. Recognized for her expertise, she has been named one of “The World’s Leading Trademark Professionals” by World Trademark Review (WTR) 1000 (2025-2026).

Ms. Chun handles and provides advice on Korean trademark portfolios and disputes for multinational corporations. She also oversees and provides advice on global trademark portfolios and disputes for major Korean companies by closely liaising with foreign law firms.

In 2015, she was seconded to the IP department of a prominent media and entertainment company in Burbank, California, where she gained practical experience managing its global trademark portfolio and implementing various brand protection measures.
