Overview

Sue Su-Yeon Chun is a patent attorney at the Trademark and Design Practice Group of Kim & Chang. Ms. Chun's main area of practice encompasses prosecution, enforcement and litigation involving trademarks, unfair competition and designs. Since joining Kim & Chang in 2008, Ms. Chun has handled a wide range of local and overseas IP matters of foreign and domestic clients in a variety of business sectors including entertainment, media, e-commerce, technology, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, fashion, hospitality and consumer goods and services. She has also handled a number of notable administrative trials and litigations before the courts and the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO). 

Ms. Chun handles and provides advice on Korean trademark portfolios and disputes for global and multinational corporations. She also oversees and provides advice on worldwide trademark portfolios and disputes for major Korean companies by closely liaising with foreign law firms.

In 2015, she was seconded to the IP Department of Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. in Burbank, California and accumulated practical experience in handling company’s worldwide trademark portfolio.
