Yoon-Sang Lee joined Kim & Chang in 2006 and is a patent attorney in the firm's Electrical/Software Practice. 

He received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering (1996) from the University of Toronto and was admitted to the Korean Patent Bar in 2004. Before joining the firm he worked at AIP Patent & Law Offices from 2004 to 2006 and served in the Republic of Korea Air Force from 1997 to 2000.

Mr. Lee's practice includes a wide range of intellectual property matters, including patent prosecution and counseling involving patents in a variety of memory technologies (e.g., ,flash memory and its file system) and communication services and technology.  In particular, Mr. Lee has a significant experience in preparation and prosecution of domestic and foreign patent applications, oppositions, and patent appeals, as well as rendering of legal opinions regarding validity and infringement of patents and litigation support.  He has prosecuted hundreds of patent applications before the Korean Intellectual Property Office, including appeal procedures, in a wide range of technologies, including memory technologies.  He has also drafted numerous Korean and English patent applications for filing in Korea and the United States related to semiconductor devices, telecommunications, business methods, etc.  For the purposes of patent assessment, he also conducted patent infringement analysis and patent validity analysis on several Korean and US patents, and performed prior art searches in Korean, English, and Japanese databases.
