Sung Hwan Kim joined Kim & Chang in 2000 and is a patent attorney in the firm's Mechanical Practice.
He received his B.S. and M.S. in Aeronautical Engineering (1991, 1993) from Seoul National University and attended the University of Waseda, Japanese Education Center. Mr. Kim was admitted to the Korean Patent Bar in 1999. Before joining the firm, he worked on aircraft stability and control systems, and developing an aircraft stabilizer at Korea Aerospace Industries, Ltd. from 1999 to 2000 and Samsung Aerospace Industries, Ltd. from 1993 to 1999.
Mr. Kim's current practice focuses on patent prosecution and litigation, particularly with respect to semiconductor devices, control devices and algorithms, and aeronautical devices and materials. He is a member of the Asian Patent Attorneys Association.
