Marcus (Yoonchang) Lee is a patent attorney with extensive experience in patent procurement in various electrical technologies, including computer software, mobile devices, semiconductors, wireless communication, home appliances, and medical devices.
His practice focuses on a variety of intellectual property matters, including patent infringement litigation, patent invalidation action, patent prosecution, patent licensing, prior art search, infringement analysis, and validity analysis.
He also has multiple experiences in advising employee invention matters regarding employee invention policy, procedural requirements for adopting or modifying remuneration policy, and the amount of remuneration. In addition, he has diverse experiences on M&A IP due diligence, which covers major IP issues such as patent litigation, trade secret misappropriation, employee invention, license agreement, etc., in tech-based deals.
Mr. Lee received his B.E. in electrical engineering, with great honor, from Korea University, where he participated in Korea University Debate Club as a debater and adjudicator. He received his LL.M. from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) school of law. While in law school, he was a managing editor for the UCLA Journal of Law and Technology (JOLT).
