简介

Jong Kwon Kim is a patent attorney in Kim & Chang's IP Practice Group.

Prior to joining the firm in 2019, he served as a patent examiner in the examination division of electric devices, computer, commnunications and networks with the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) from 2004 to 2015. During service in KIPO, he also served as a litigation performer in the field of electronics and communication with the Intellectual Property Trial and Appeal Board (IPTAB) from 2011 to 2013. From 2016 to 2018, he also served as a investigator and litigation performer in the division of Unfair Trade Investigation with the Korea Trade Commission (KTC). He also has extensive experience in the communications and networks industry. He was a senior engineer with Samsung Electronics from 2002 to 2004. His practice focuses on a wide range of intellectual property matters including patent prosecution, enforcement, litigation and unfair trade affairs.
