Dr. Jeanne Jin Hee Lim joined Kim & Chang in 2004 and is a patent attorney in the firm's Chemical/Pharma/Bio Practice. She was admitted to the Korean Patent Bar in 2003. Her practice focuses on a wide range of intellectual property matters, including patent prosecution and litigation for bio and pharmaceutical companies. 

Dr. Lim represents technology companies including antibody, vaccine, protein, peptide, nucleotide and antisense nucleotide manufacturing companies, and diagnostics and bioinformatics companies, in addition to pharmaceutical compound companies. 

Dr. Lim’s practice includes litigating patent disputes; counseling in patent infringement and validity matters (Freedom-to-Operate analysis); developing intellectual property strategies for companies; preparing patent-related responses for clients to submit to the Korean FDA and FTC; and preparing opinion for biopharmaceutical product liability cases. In the recent years, she has litigated numerous disputes regarding biosimilars and pharmaceutical compounds, involving invalidation actions, scope confirmation actions and infringement actions with the Korean Court. Dr. Lim manages patent portfolios for major and start-up biopharmaceutical companies. 

Prior to becoming a lawyer, Dr. Lim received her doctorate in Biochemistry from Brandeis University, where she investigated signal transduction in the visual sensory system. She also lectured on Biochemistry at Kyung Hee University as an instructor.
