Ms. Young-Lan CHA has been working at Kim & Chang Law Firm since 2015 and currently serves as a senior patent attorney in the firm’s China Team and in the Mechanical Division of the Intellectual Property Department. 

Prior to joining Kim & Chang Law Firm, she worked as an examiner in the Mechanical Examination Bureau of the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) for 11 years. Ms. CHA holds bachelor's and master's degrees in Energy Engineering from Zhejiang University in China and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Chungnam National University in South Korea. She is fluent in Korean, Chinese, English, and Japanese. Drawing on her extensive experience, Ms. CHA currently oversees patent prosecutions and dispute issues at the firm, as well as providing intellectual property consulting and lectures to the clients.
